Day 1: Hanoi arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You are free to stroll around the city and catch a first glimpse of this peaceful city.
In the evening, a welcome dinner out at a stylistic restaurant, which impresses you by unique decoration leading to the nature
Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B, L)
At 8 am: Our guide will meet you at your hotel and start the day with the visit to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and “House on stilt” at the same area with the Presidential Palace and the famous One Pillar Pagoda. We also make a visit to the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, which is now dedicated to Confucian worship and “Hanoi Hilton” –a nick name given by US pilots during the war. There is time to visit Hanoi Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake with a stop over at Ngoc Son Temple.
In the evening, we will enjoy the famous famous water puppet show
Day 3: Perfume Pagoda and overnight train to Lao Cai (B, L)
Departing from your hotel at 8 am, we will take a 2.5 hour road trip to the countryside out of Hanoi, Reaching Yen dock, then we will enjoy one hour on a small sampan in YenRiver surrounded by the spectacular scenery of mountains, rivers and rice paddies. We will pass by Trinh Pagoda and continue to Thien Tru Habour where we will start trekking to main cave pagoda uphill- Perfume pagoda. The visit to this pagoda will give us more understanding of the Buddhism in Vietnam. Today we will have late and simple lunch near Thien Tru Habour before a visit to the most beautiful Thien Tru Pagoda. Enjoy one hour sampan back to meet our waiting vehicle. We get on car and arrive in Hanoi around 6 pm. Few hours free to enjoy dinner and take some refreshment. At 8:00 pm, we will take an overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 4: Sapa – Cat Cat Villages (B, L)
Arrive in the early morning (around 6 am), you will take roughly one hours drive to Sapa. Breakfast at the hotel then walk down to the H’mong village of Cat Cat. In Cat Cat, you can see the waterfall, the old French hydro power station and have a chance to communicate with local minority people. Back to sapa, Have luch at the local restaurant. Free to visit Sapa town and Sapa market. Dinner on guest’s account. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 5: Lao Chai & Tavan (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will start the trekking day (8km) on the hillside trails up and down to Lao Chai, home of the Black H’mong and Ta Van area, inhabited by the Zay minority. Then jeep is riding down to the remote village of Thanh Kim. Check in the Eco - logde, relax and enjoy dinner. Today you will stay overnight in the most peaceful valley.
Day 6: Colorful Minority market (B, L)
Today we will take on excursion to a local minority market. Depending on the day of the week, we can visit Bac Ha market (only held on Sunday), Can Cau market (only held on Saturday) or Coc Ly market(only held on Tuesday). It is a precious opportunity for you to have nice photos of colorful market. On the way to Lao Cai railways station, we will pay a visit at villages of Flower H’mong people. Overnight on train.
Day 7: Hanoi –Halong Bay (B, L, D)
08.00 : Our guide will meet you at your hotel. Mini bus or private car pick up. On the way to Halong city enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong board Halong bay Cruise . Lunch is served with a welcome drink while the boat is cruising the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascape with Fighting cock, Dog Rock and Incense Burner . After visiting Amazing cave we stop at a floating house and go kayaking to Luon cave to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the bay. Fresh fruit platter will be served followed by a dinner between 6h30 and 7h00 pm. Overnight on Cruise.
Day 8: HalongBay – Hanoi (B, L)
06:30: For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands.
Enjoying sunrise breakfast and cruising around the clear & emerald water to another part of Halong bay with a close up view of stunning limestone peaks …Stopping at Gia Luan Dock for picking up-dropping off passengers and keeping on another side toward Halong harbor. Feel ready to have lunch on board and enjoy the rest of the boat trip. Arriving at Halong dock have short break before en route to Hanoi. Arrival back at your hotel approximately 16:30/17:00 Free time for dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi Departure (B)
Some free time for shopping or strolling around the city until transfer time to the airport for your flight to the next destination. End of services.
